Welcome to MashrakhBazzar (“we,” “our,” “us”), a local e-commerce platform serving customers in and around Mashrakh and nearby regions.

We only collect information strictly necessary to provide and deliver your orders. We do not collect unnecessary personal details or demographic data.

1.1 Personal & Account Information

When you create an account, place an order, or save a delivery address, we collect:

  • Full Name
  • Mobile Phone Number (verified securely via Firebase Phone OTP)
  • Email Address (optional, used for order confirmations and receipts)
  • Delivery Address (receiver name, phone number, house/building details, street/area, landmark, and PIN code)

What we DO NOT collect:

•We do not collect profile photos or avatar uploads.
•We do not collect your age or birthdate.
•We do not collect government identification numbers unless required by specific statutory proceedings.

1.2 Order & Transaction Information

When you use our services, we record:

  • Products ordered and order quantity
  • Order timestamps and delivery status
  • Delivery instructions and address selected
  • Total payable amount, delivery fee, and handling charges
  • Payment method selected (Cash on Delivery or UPI)
  • Cancellation or return requests (if applicable)

Important Payment Security Note:

MashrakhBazzar never collects or stores your UPI PIN, debit/credit card number, CVV, or net banking passwords. Online payments are initiated through your preferred third-party UPI applications (such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, or BHIM) or direct QR code scanning.

1.3 Device & Network Information (No Tracing or Analytics)

We believe in minimal data collection:

  • No Tracing or Behavioral Tracking: We do not have user tracing, crash reporting SDKs, advertising identifiers, or third-party behavioral analytics enabled in our app.
  • No Cross-App Tracking: We never track your activity across third-party websites or applications.
  • Connection Diagnostics: To ensure order placement succeeds, the app checks basic internet connectivity status (online/offline state) locally on your device.
  • Server Requests: Like standard web services, our secure servers temporarily process standard HTTP request data (such as IP address and user-agent) strictly to deliver API responses, ensure session security, and prevent denial-of-service abuse.

1.4 Device Permissions & Features We Use

Our mobile application requests only the permissions necessary for specific features you choose to use:

  • Location (GPS / Geolocation): Used solely to detect whether your address is within our serviceable delivery radius in Mashrakh and to help you accurately position your delivery location on Google Maps. Location permission is completely optional; you can deny permission and enter your address details manually at any time.
  • Microphone (Speech Recognition / Voice Search): Used strictly when you tap the microphone button in the search bar to search for products using your voice. The audio is converted into search keywords on-the-fly via the device's speech recognition engine. We never record, store, or transmit your voice or audio files.
  • Prescription & Document Uploads (Camera / File Picker): Used only when you voluntarily upload a doctor's prescription in our Pharmacy section. The uploaded image is transmitted securely and shared solely with licensed partner pharmacists to verify and dispense prescription medicines.
  • External App Queries (UPI & WhatsApp): On Android, the app queries for installed UPI apps (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM) and WhatsApp to allow seamless one-tap payment transfers and direct customer support messaging.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely for genuine operational purposes:

  • Create and authenticate your account using secure phone OTP
  • Process, pack, and deliver your orders to your doorstep
  • Provide timely delivery status updates and customer support
  • Coordinate with delivery partners to reach your location
  • Validate doctor prescriptions for pharmacy orders through qualified pharmacists
  • Prevent fraudulent orders, payment disputes, and platform misuse
  • Comply with applicable legal, tax, and regulatory requirements in India

3. Payments

We support two primary payment methods:

  • Cash on Delivery (COD): Payable in cash or via UPI to our delivery partner at the time of delivery.
  • Unified Payments Interface (UPI): Direct in-app intent or dynamic QR code payment through authorized UPI applications.

All digital payment processing is handled externally by NPCI-authorized banking apps and payment networks. MashrakhBazzar does not act as a payment gateway and never captures or stores banking credentials.

4. Communications & Notifications

We communicate with you exclusively regarding your account and orders through:

  • SMS: OTP verification for secure login and checkout
  • WhatsApp: Order confirmations, delivery updates, and direct customer support
  • Email: Transaction receipts and order invoices (if you provide an email address)
  • Phone Calls: Urgent delivery partner coordination when locating your address

You may also choose to follow our official MashrakhBazzar WhatsApp Community Channel for announcements. We do not spam you with unsolicited third-party marketing messages.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers or third parties.

We share limited information only with:

  • Delivery Personnel: We share receiver name, delivery address, phone number, and order items strictly for the purpose of completing your delivery.
  • Partner Pharmacists: When you place a pharmacy prescription order, the uploaded prescription is shared with licensed pharmacists to review and dispense prescribed medicines.
  • Infrastructure Providers: We rely on industry-standard secure cloud service providers:
  • Firebase (Google): Secure phone OTP authentication
  • Supabase: Encrypted database hosting and backend storage
  • Google Maps Platform: Address lookup, mapping, and geocoding
  • Resend: Transactional email receipts
  • Law Enforcement & Legal Authorities: We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulation in India.

6. Data Security & Storage

We implement rigorous technical and organizational security controls to protect your data:

  • All data in transit is encrypted using modern HTTPS / TLS cryptographic protocols.
  • Database access is restricted with row-level security and authentication policies.
  • Internal administrative access requires multi-factor role authorization.

While we take every reasonable measure to protect your data, please keep your phone and OTP access confidential.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as your account is active or as needed to:

  • Fulfill current and past orders
  • Assist you with order history and reordering
  • Comply with statutory tax, audit, and legal bookkeeping requirements under Indian law

8. Account Deletion & Your Privacy Rights

You have complete control over your personal data:

  • Public Web Deletion Request (No App Reinstallation Required): You can request complete deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time through our dedicated public webpage at https://mashrakhbazzar.com/delete-account. This page is accessible from any web browser on desktop or mobile, allowing users to submit a deletion request without needing to reinstall or open the mobile app.
  • In-App Account Deletion: If you have the mobile app open, you can also navigate directly to Profile > Request Account Deletion to submit your request.

  • Data That Will Be Deleted: Upon identity verification, your profile name, mobile number, email, and saved delivery addresses will be permanently deleted and purged from our active databases.
  • Data Retention for Legal Compliance: Completed order invoices and financial records are retained in archived format solely as mandated for statutory accounting, tax, and auditing requirements under applicable Indian laws.

9. Children’s Privacy

MashrakhBazzar is an online grocery and household essentials service intended for general audiences and families.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.
  • We do not collect age or profile photos for any user.
  • If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal details without parental consent, please contact us and we will promptly delete the data.

Our platform may contain links to external third-party services, such as WhatsApp or Twitter/X. These third-party services operate under their own independent privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies when using their services.
